S.A. Hameed

Ship and yacht scale models in Dubai and Ajman.

We build marine models — hulls, superstructures and deck detailing — for presentation, display and exhibition use. Larger vessels are printed in sections and assembled, then finished by hand so the completed piece reads as one continuous object.

Who a marine model is for

These are suitable uses for our ship and yacht models — each project is quoted individually.

Shipyards and naval presentations

A scale model can present a vessel design or build programme to visitors, delegations and review boards in a way drawings alone cannot.

Yacht brokers and showrooms

Display models of vessels in your brokerage or sales space give clients a tangible sense of proportions, decks and exterior lines.

Owners and private commissions

A model of your own vessel can serve as a presentation piece, a record of the build, or a display item for an office or residence.

Exhibitions and events

Marine models for exhibition stands, industry events and public displays, built to be transported and installed at the venue.

How we build marine models

01

3D printing processes

FDM filaments (PLA, PETG, ABS and similar), SLA/DLP photopolymer resins for fine detail, and SLS polyamide powders for durable, support-free parts. We choose the process and material to suit how the model will be used.

02

Sections and assembly

Hulls, superstructures and deck detailing are printed as the geometry allows. For larger vessels, the model is printed in sections and assembled into one piece.

03

Hand finishing

Assembled sections are filled and puttied, sanded, primed and painted, so the finished model reads as one continuous object rather than a set of printed parts. Display bases, glass display cases and lighting are available as finishing options.

Traditional model-making, CNC machining and hand-cut detail sit alongside 3D printing in our workshop, so each part of a marine model is made by the method that suits it best.

Sizes and large models

Single-part capability

We can produce single parts up to 150 × 150 × 150 cm, depending on the process and material chosen. Not every printer or process reaches that maximum — the achievable size is confirmed for each job once we know the geometry, material and finish.

Larger vessels

Larger vessels are printed in sections and assembled, then filled and puttied, sanded, primed and painted so the finished piece reads as one continuous object rather than a set of printed parts.

Questions about marine models

What can you build as a ship or yacht model?

Marine models include hulls, superstructures and deck detailing. Larger vessels are printed in sections and assembled, then finished so the piece reads as one continuous object.

Which 3D printing processes do you use for marine models?

FDM with filaments such as PLA, PETG and ABS; SLA/DLP with photopolymer resins; and SLS with polyamide (nylon) powders. We recommend the process and material once we know how the model will be used.

How large can a ship or yacht model be?

Single parts can be produced up to 150 × 150 × 150 cm, depending on the process and material chosen — the achievable size is confirmed for each job. Larger pieces are printed in sections, assembled, then filled, puttied, sanded, primed and painted.

How do I request a quotation?

Email your drawings or 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, CAD, SketchUp, Revit or PDF) with the overall dimensions or scale, quantity, intended use, required finish, deadline and delivery location. We reply from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and ship worldwide.
