Common questions about our scale models

What drawings do you need to quote a scale model?

Floor plans, elevations, sections and a site or masterplan drawing are enough to start. CAD, PDF, Revit or SketchUp files all work, and renders or material references help us match the finish. Send them to info@uaemodelmakers.com with the scale or overall model size you have in mind.

What scales do you build at?

Our completed models run from 1:50 for a single detailed tower up to 1:500 for resort and masterplan models, with 1:100, 1:200 and 1:300 used in between. The right scale depends on the site area and the level of detail you need to show.

Can the model be illuminated or interactive?

Yes. We have built models with zoned interior LED lighting, illuminated cores and crowns, accent lighting on facades, and an interactive resort model paired with a touchscreen so a sales team can highlight phases and unit types live.

How long does a model take to build?

It is project-dependent. A single tower with a simple base is far quicker than a lit masterplan with landscaping and sectional transport bases. Once we have your drawings and the deadline, we confirm a build schedule before starting.

Do you deliver outside Dubai?

We are based in Nadd Al Hamar, Dubai and work across the UAE, and we ship worldwide. Transport and installation are part of the services we deliver on our project models.

What materials do you work with?

Acrylic and Plexiglas, PVC and styrene, ABS, polyamide (nylon) for 3D printing, timber such as balsa and basswood, foam board, polystyrene for terrain, card, and metals including aluminium, brass and copper for finishes.
